*Contest Updates* please read.

I'm starting to get organized again
It's been brought to my attention that the contests haven't been brought to my attention since, um, June.
So I'm trying to straighten things out here. If you wanted to host a contest before, please bear with me and you will get your chance.

Right now GUPS and PGS are going on and until at least one of those are finished... there aren't going to be any more contests. When one of them is a couple weeks away from finishing I will open the contest applications again and we'll try to get a line going like we had before. I'll post about that when it's time.

Everyone who submitted a plan before needs to submit it again if you still want to host a contest. Some people I don't know if they still want to host them or not so it would be easier if we just started over.

So for now, we have all the contests we need. But when GUPS or PGS is a couple weeks away from finishing then we will be opening applications for more contests. There will only be 2 running at a time... with the exception oof really short contests [like Speedy's GS one she had a while ago] which shouldn't be that big a deal.

Oh yeah, and please remember that these rules only apply to contests that will be hosted here on the forum, like GUPS and PGS. Those of you who want to host a contest off of GS or a blog or Polyvore or wherever else in the world, don't need to clear it with us.

Name: Outfit That Country!
Description: Girls will go around the globe and make outfits for different places!
Polyvore, Girlsense?: Girlsense
Plan: A new challenge will be posted every Monday, and entries will be due on Thursday. Results will be posted on Friday. May sometimes be changed due to business . Accepting up to 12 people, and only 2 seasons. Also, 4 judges along with myself.
Anything else?: That's pretty much it to explain. Other things will be posted in the topic.
Each season runs for about 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 weeks. It depends on the amount of participants.

I deleted some of your conversation there, Mall and Stars. I'm pretty sure you're not gonna actually fight, but just in case...I mean, this is an important topic so locking it would be unfortunate.

I know there's probably going to be a lot of people wanting to do contests but I really want to do a long winter photography contest cause my last one got discontinued. Everybody was busy with last week of school/beginning of summer stuff :/

Name: Writer's Block (NOT!)
Description: Members will compete against each other in different scenarios to see who the forum's best creative (or non-creative, depending on the challenge) writer. Challenges will include character writing, poetry and start-offs.
Judges: Either five or three.
How entries are judged: There will be five categories determining how each piece of writing will be judged: Relativity to challenge: (1-10), Creativity: (1-10), Vocabulary: (1-5), Mechanics: (1-5), and Overall development: (1-20). As you can see, each contestant has a possibility of earning 50 points per round.
Prizes: TBD. If this contest gets approved, I will consult with the judges and we will decide together.
Timing and Dates:

FRIDAY: New challenge is posted.
TUESDAY: Entries due by midnight.
THURSAY: Results posted.

Seasons: Right now, just one.
Results: I will make a blog for the results. I will update it by posting the entries first and then the results, just like BB did for GUPS.

I'm thinking about hosting a boutique designing contest. Like, smaller than PGS or something. But.. only if you guys like the idea. xD Then I will fill out a form. And it won't be until, like, wayy later.
